Delete Your Account
You can delete your GenPlay account and the data associated with it at any time. You do not need to have the app installed to submit a request.
Option 1 — Delete in the app
- Open the GenPlay app and sign in.
- From the home feed, open the menu and tap Settings.
- Tap Delete Account at the bottom of the Settings screen.
- Tap Delete in the confirmation dialog.
Deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you have already uninstalled the app, or cannot sign in, email us:
Please include:
- The email address associated with your GenPlay account (the Google or Apple account you signed in with).
- Your username on GenPlay, if you know it.
- The subject line “Account Deletion Request”.
We may ask for additional information to verify that you are the account owner before we process the request.
What gets deleted

What may be retained, and for how long
We may retain limited data after deletion where we are required or permitted to do so:
- Legal and dispute-resolution records — retained for the period required by applicable law.
- Records related to a Terms of Service violation, DMCA action, or fraud prevention — retained as necessary to enforce our terms and to prevent repeat abuse.
- Aggregated or de-identified analytics that can no longer be linked to you — retained indefinitely.
- Analytics and crash data (Firebase Analytics / Crashlytics) — retained and deleted according to Google’s retention policies, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- Residual copies — copies of deleted content may persist in secure backups and internal storage systems; they are not accessible through the Service.
Timeline
- In-app deletion is processed immediately when you confirm — there is no grace period and deleted accounts cannot be recovered.
- Email requests are processed within 30 days of receipt (or of verifying your identity, if verification is needed). We will confirm by email when your account has been deleted.
